    What the best freeware (not adware or shareware) to covert avi to dvd so I can burn dvds?

    Here's a few to try:

    DVD Flick

    FAVC

    Avi2Dvd

    DIKO

    But If you don't mind spending a few dollars, ConvertXToDVD is probably the most popular. You could try the trial version if the above ones won't work for you. There is also an older freeware verison still available, DivxToDVD.
