I have the Toshiba HD-DVD A2 1080I and considering on purchasing the A20 1080P. I have a Toshiba 47'' LCD 1080P. Will I see a difference if I buy the A20? Is it worth it since they dropped the prices?

I'm sure edDV will clarify this, but, assuming your LCD accepts 1080P input, you might notice a difference. Chances are your LCD is already displaying 1080P anyway as it is downcoverting the 1080i input into the LCD native resolution and making it a progressive signal.
Of course to test this, you could find a local store that carries both models and have them displayed on a similar TV or if you can get the new player locally, you can take it home and test it for yourself. Then if you don't like it, take it back.
I personally wouldn't expect to see much of a difference between the two players.Google is your Friend -
From what I have read, 1080P is most useful on larger screens, such as 60 inches or more. I am not sure that you would notice much difference between 1080p and 1080i or even 720p on a 47" screen.
