After searching and trying all kind of problemsolvers i still can't find out what i'm doing wrong in Premiere 6.5.
I use two still pictures in my movie. Both created in Photoshop CS2. But when i render the movie or even the 'work area' the pictures become all 'blocky' (later i found out that if i deinterlace the picture in PS i get the same result as Premiere renders). I can't remember i had this problem before, i use pictures and stills alle the time. I tried al kinds of stuff, without results:
- Flicker Removal
- Deinterlace (in Premiere and PS)
- Optimize Stills
- Different pixel aspect ratios
- Maintain still aspect ratio
Project and still settings:
- Stills are BMP files with the same size as my movieclip (72dpi)
- Capture 720x576 (1,067) DV-PAL
- Output 720x576 (1,067) DV-PAL
I think it's somewhere in the project settings because every file i try is 'blocky' except for the captured movie looks perfect. What am i doing wrong here?

Fine detail like that does not come up well on interlaced video. Your DV render will be interlaced. That said, it will also look a lot worse on your PC than it will on your TV, so it might be worth testing on your TV before you despair.
If it still looks bad, or suffers from flicker, try softening the image first with a slight vertical motion blur in photoshop.Read my blog here.
