  1. I downloaded VirutalDubMod like you suggested but I don't know what to do once I open the .ogm file.

    edited* Let me explain more clearly:
    1. I have an .ogm file I already copied off a DVD onto my computer desktop.
    2. When I play the .ogm file with GOM player, it plays in english.
    3. I can convert the .ogm file using a simple OGM to AVI software.
    4. When I click on the .avi file, its no longer in english, but its in japanese now.
    5. It must have 2 audio tracks along with english subtitles, right?
    6. How do I convert the .ogm file to .avi and keep english (also delete subtitles).

    You can do it all in vdubmod with lame ACM.
    stream copy video to avi.
    select full audio processing, encode selected stream to mp3.
    add mp3 audio to video only avi, direct stream copy.

    You can also disable an audio track in the ogm with vdubmod and direct stream copy to ogm.
    then use ogm2avi.

    Or use ogmdemuxer to demux. encode the ogg audio to mp3 with any audio encoder of choice.
    mux audio and video with vdubmod or avimux-gui.

    Welcome to the forum.

    You will get more replies with a more descriptive title.

    Open the file in virtualdubmod. Click streams, streams list, disable the audio you don't want. Click file, save as "yourfile.avi".

    Moldiver, in the future, please use a more descriptive title for your topics to allow others to more easily find it with a search.

    From our rules:
    Try to choose a subject that describes your topic.
    Please do not use topic subjects like Help me!!! or Problems.
    I will change your title this time.

    open in vdubmod.

    play it to see which audio is the first stream.

    under streams-> stream list.
    you'll see 2 audio and the subs.
    double click to disable a stream.
    double click the subs and the audio stream you don't want.

    then under file->save as...
    select direct stream copy for video mode,
    and ogm for save as type.

    save and run through ogm to avi.
