I am converting a 16x9 movie to .MOV to play on my 80GB Ipod using Super. I was wondering what settings I should use for aspect ration and video size. I think the Ipod only supports 320x240 or 640x480 right? If that is the case, then what should I set the aspect ratio to? I would just experiement around, but I am leaving on a trip tomorrow and do not have time to figure it out. Also, does the Ipod support 24fps or 25fps or is it only 30fps? Thanks.

I did some experimenting with just converting the first 20 seconds. I am a bit confused by the results. The input is 16x9.

Settings: 320:240 Aspect 16:9 Stretch It not selected
Results: a 320x240 video with black bars on top and bottom. No distortion of the image

Settings: 320:240 Aspect 4:3 Stretch It not selected
Results: a 240x240 video with black bars on top and bottom. The image was squashed from the sides (everything skinny)

Settings: 320:240 Aspect 16:9 Stretch It selected
Results: a 426x240 video with no black bars. The image wasn't distorted

Settings: 320:240 Aspect 4:3 Stretch It selected
Results: a 320x240 video with no black bars. The image was stretched vertically (everything was tall)
