    Time to build a new computer. I want to design this computer for video encoding. I am considering one of the Asus motherboards. However, they make too many for me to make an intelligent decision. I will be purchasing a Intel Core 2 Due or maybe the quad. A video card that is HDCP compliant. Sound Blaster high end audio. Two gigs of memory (8500). And I am thinking of staying with XP. At this point I like the Asus Command motherboard.

    Any suggestions or comments in helping me select the necessary equipment will be appreciated.

    Hd2900 sound and vision one cable.
    HTPC or video encoder or both (+ games?)
    Why good audio?
    2g of slow or 1g of super prem mem?
    1200w power supply?
    2x hd2400 in SLI (power and glory, and you get to be the first!)
    Corned beef is now made to a higher standard than at any time in history.
    The electronic components of the power part adopted a lot of Rubycons.
