hi i've been trying to convert a mpg to a mpg2?i dont know if this is possible but everytime i try to use tmpgenc i always get a "illegal floating decimal point"error.Even if i try to convert a .avi to vcd i still get the same error.could someone please help me??I've tried everything and everytime it the same error,anyone got any suggestions?

If it happens right away you need to adjust your DIRECTSHOW filter in TMPG to a higher priority.
Go to OPTIONS - ENVIRONMENTAL SETTINGS - then down to the last tab - you'll see DirectShow in there - right click it and raise it's priority~~~Spidey~~~

no it doesnt happen right away usually about 42% of the way in the conversion? HELP!! its driving me insane.Also the vcds i have converted successfully, the audio has been really choppy and lots of static,and the picture quality is brutal, really blurry and the picture is way to big for my TV when played on my stand alone dvd player. When i play the vcd i can only see the top of the letter from the credits or the beginning, depending on where the credits are being displayed. anyone got any suggestions?Please.
