I have captured an ISO file of a movie from the DVD using DVD Shrink. Before I can burn it as a backup, I would like to edit some content for children (kinda making PG-13 movie to PG!).
Is there any way to do it? If there is a better way to do it instead of using an ISO file, fine with me. And of course, if there is a way to use a free tool, even better!

    Thanks in advance,

I did a forum search for "family edit" "remove curse words" "edit nudity" and found these threads.

There are ways to do it but it's not easy. Be prepared to get a lot of flak from people saying that you shouldn't even watch the movies. I have edited some movies for my kids that had language that served no purpose for the storyline. So I understand what you are trying to do.

Now I'm gonna sit back and wait for the flaming that I'm sure is to come....

ISO is just a container format. Just rip to disk, then break the DVD down to its most basic part: mpg video/audio (using vob2mpg). Cut out (or blank out) the offending audio/video parts, author a new DVD. In short - much easier not to watch it at all.
