I just got rid of some equipment, changed a few other things around, and have run into a problem.

I used to have my Cyberhome DVD player hooked up to a TV with regular RCA cables. I now have it hookedup to my big 32" TV with the YPrPB component video cables my old and now-dead DVD player had. However, I'm getting a very screwed up signal.

The TV shows a hash of the "Cyberhome" screensaver logo, tinged a redish/greenish colour.

I've tried swapping out plugs, thought I had them in the wrong plugs (I have a loss of a lot of my colour vision), made sure they were plugged in tight too. No help.

Any ideas what I might be doing wrong folks? I'd appreciate any help, thanks.
    My gear:

    - JVC HR-S9911U SVHS VCR
    - Datavideo TBC-1000
    - JVC DR-M10 DVD writer
    - Sony Steadyshot DCR-TRV340 NTSC Digital8 Camcorder

May be a defective or misplugged cable but are you sure you've set the Cyberhome player to component out in the settings?

    The typical settings are
    S-Video/Composite or YPbPr
    480i (interlace) or 480p (progressive).

For A typical NTSC TV with component inputs, set to YPbPr and 480i.

If the TV is a progressive LCD or HD-Ready, set to YPbPr and 480p.

Thanks, I'll check out those settings and see if my TV is progressive-capable (it's a 32" CRT), and hopefully that will fix my problem. Appreciate the help!

Most likely not progressive and you might damage the TV if not.

Check the manual. If they don't call it a 480p EDTV or HD Ready it isn't progressive capable.
