How to shoot yourself in the foot! What an annoying piece of crap their opening page is with this damned thing popping up all the time.
Not impressed!

not nearly as annoying as the color scheme of their home page... it is so distracting with all of the bright colors I find it hard to keep my eyes focused in one area. Since the redesign I have pretty much avoided the main site, which is a shame, because they have so much to offer.
Some people say dog is mans best friend. I say that man is dog's best slave... At least that is what my dogs think. -
never heard of it , never been there, think i'll stay way from it

It doesn't bother me.... :P how hard is it to just close the pop boxes....lots of good information there on optical drives....

I agree, it's a good site, but whoever sold them on that stupid survey overlay should sell swampland in Florida! It's amateurish and not at all in keeping with the nature of their site.

I use firefox with noscript + zone alarm pro
update-
can't even close the damn thing even if you hit never it doesn't work -
Firefox blocks more than half of the site for me, because it's full of so much crap.
It reminds me of those magazines that I have to shake and rip out all the perfume cards before I can actually sit and enjoy the magazine. Of course, 50-60% of the pages are ads. I've dumped most of my magazines for this reason.Want my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)

Just poor implementation on being able to close it.... Rule #1 when using JS is that it isn't required to use the site.
Another thing to note is if you have cookies disabled it will show up every page load whether you selecet never anyway. -
Dude this must be something really new
I was trying several tricks to try disable it and nothing worked except for blocking entire page
So the question is who is going to crack this first and comes up with a new blocking softwaremoved to another forum, nobody likes me here... -

The most irritating site popups I've seen are those that scroll with the page, always staying in the center, like a mosquito continually buzzing in front of your face.
