  1. HI,

I have read Sully's (Thanks Sully!!) post several times and followed the directions over and over, at least I think. I was able to frame serve via Virtualdub, but I'm not exactly sure how to change the size of the resolution. I just used what ever it was defauts were. When I try using AVIsynth I get the following message:

AVIFileOpen("F:\AVSscripts\test.avs&quot: According to the registry, the type of file specified in AVIFileOpen does not have a handler to process it.

I had tried several resolution sizes under BicubicResize. 480x480, 640x480, 720x480. My Video stream is an DV AVI file 720x480 NTSC. I have followed the install directions for AVIsynth. Tried putting the dll in \Windows\System and System32. I have also VFAPI installed.

    Please help,

    BT

  2. OK,

With a little more searching I loacted the variuos plugins to resize via VirtualDub. I guess I should just VirtualDub. I would love to understand the AVIsynth problem.

    Thanks,

  3. If there's no handler for avs, it's because you didn't merge the "install.reg" file into the registry. Right click on the file and choose the "merge" choice. It should ask you if you want to add the information in the file to the registry - say yes and you're done.

  4. VidGuy,

I solved the problem. Scully said to put the DLL in \Windows\System of if using Win2K or NT \Windows\System32.

You need to put the DLL into \WINNT\System32 if using win2k.

I got it working now, hope this clears up any confusion others are having.
