    hi,

    i downloaded virtual dub recently in an attempt to compress movies...

    i dlded it nd it was fine nd i was able to compress movies..i tried almost all thevideo compressors avaliable nd i found VP 60,61,70 were best nd using them i was able to compreess movie into smll size nd wit gud quality...

    now i hve a prb..i was able to see the VP60 nd its othr under video>>compression list in virtual dub...but i dont knw smething strange right now i m not able to see those video compressors in the compression list..i thto it was a prblem in virtual dub..so i re dlded virtual again...even then i m not able to see those VP 60,61,70

    today morning i unistalled K-lite codec pck..jst to test out sme stuff...nd again installed it back..do i hve to check/uncheck smething dring the installtion process of k-lite codec pack..too see these compressors

    i hve media plyer classic version 3.2.5

    r is there any way i cand dld them seperately n install them into virtual dub..

    i need them badly...

    plzz help me out..

  2. K-lite codec pack is bad news. VP6 and 7 are free for personal use. Download them directly from On2.

    hi..i dlded them..but how do i load them into virtual dub....i dont see any option..i saw these VP 6 nd VP 7 in virtual dub itself under compression list..but i m unable to see them now...

    i dlded those compressors externally....like those r not like a prg where we can submit video...nd they compress the movie...

    so like is their any way i can get them r load them into virtual dub..does virtual dub give tht preference..r any other solution..

  4. After downloading the VP7 installer did you run it? Did it appear to install correctly? No error messages etc? I used this link for VP7:

    http://www.on2.com/cms-data/downloads/on2_vp7_personal_edition.exe

    After installing VP7 you should see it in VirtualDub's codec dialog just like very other VFW codec. If you don't see it after running the installation -- K-lite has probably screwed up your system.

    thnx lot mate...i dlded the VP 7 codec nd it appears now in virtual dub codec box..thnx for ur help...i ll also see if i get VP60 loaded into VD...

    btwn just hve one more question....

    i m luking for a .avi to .rm conveter...which is the best one out there..which when converted doesnt loose quality..nd also remains almost the same as original file..witht much difference in size..
