right. im a complete newbie to this. i was given the above camera (hitachi dz mv 3000E )last week. ive recorded onto dvd-ram disks. i want to transfer the video files to my computer. however i can only find the still photos through windows explorer (either by connecting the camera thru USB port, or inserting dvd disk) but not the video files. ive tried windv, but that says error:no video camera found (or something like that)

anyone any ideas. thanks ever so much ,Adam

Does your DVD drive in your computer support DVD-RAM ?
The majority of drives do not.

The manual should tell you how to access the files, and the camera will have come with some software to help you. USB is sometimes used for full resolution transfer, however mostly it is for stills and low resolution copies. If USB is available for full resolution transfer then you need to have the drivers for it.

    TDA will open a .vro

MPG2VCR will open a .vro with more effort

DVD Movie Factory will import a .vro

DVD Movie Album SE converts the Dolby Digital audio to WAV

I no longer use DVD Movie Album SE for that reason.
