Does anyone know how to do the menu in Full D1 and videos in half-D1 in DVD Architect 4?

Assuming DVD Architect supports half-D1, you should be able to create the disc as you would any other. Just remember to tell DVDA about the video format in the project settings so it doesn't re-encode.

It supports 352 x 576 pixels MPEG2 but you choose that as a project setting, which means all video, including the menu conform with that standard. Is there a way to only have the videos at half-D1 and menus at full-D1?

You have to put the menus in a seperate VTS to the video so they can have different formats. Each VTS contains assets of a like type (same resolution, audio format, TV system etc). DVDA will create separate titlesets for 4:3 and 16:9 media, but doesn't seem to be smart enough to do it for half-D1.

What you might try is patching the half-D1 with DVD Patcher so DVDA thinks it is full-D1 (basically just change the resolution in the file headers), compile your project, then patch it back so it plays correctly. However, having mixed resolutions in the same VTS might produce strange playback.

I don't think DVDA is the right tool for this job.
