Hi everyone... I'm actually trying to join videos with HJSplit (The creator recommend me to do so, I assume he/she split the videos with it). But my problem is that the file extension/file type of the 2nd part is not ".002" but is .mpg. The 1st and the 3rd part extension is both right= ".001" and ".003". Is there anyway that I can fix this, other than redownload the file? Thank you so much.

I assume you have 'hide extensions for known file types' turned off in 'folder options>views'? Otherwise you may not be seeing the extension and you can't change it.

A freeware program I use for joining files is filemerger: http://home.planet.nl/~doesw008/filemerger.html It works with video and most any binary file.

If you have a lot of files with dissimilar names, you might try this program, also freeware: http://www.mediachance.com/free/renamer.htm
