Messed Up Quality Video on Vista

I decided to play one of my old videos on my new Windows Vista computer, and when it was playing there were all these purple and green pixels all over the screen for some reason.

The problem doesn;t seem to happen on other videos, and the problem seems to cease when I resize the screen.

What do you think this is?

What format (codec) is the video? Does it do the same with all similar format videos? It may also be a problem with your video driver. Have you tried different players, like VLC? If you are using WMP, it can be problematic at times.
