    Hey guys,

Im fairly new to ripping dvds the proper way (reencode) because i just used to use Dvdshrink to rip dvd9 movies.

Ive looked at many guides and am using dvdremake and menuedit to edit the movie to try to make it fit.

I first use dvdshrink to rip out the audio and subtitles that i dont need. Next i take the vobs and run them through dgindex to create an m2v which i will use to script and run through CCE 2.7 but after all of that, when i create the vobs of the converted movie how do i include these vobs back into the origional movie menu so then i can edit with dvdremake/menuedit to make the menu correctly.

    Thanks guys

When done, open the DVD in VobBlanker. Highlight the VTS containing the movie so that it appears in the lower window. Highlight it in the lower window, hit the "Replace" button to the right, and scroll to your newly reencoded and reauthored movie. Process. When done you'll have the original DVD with the original movie replaced by your reencoded version.

By the way, all that stuff in the beginning is unnecessary. Demux using PGCDemux, make the D2V project file and the script, followed by the encode. Anything you don't want (audio or subtitle tracks) can just be left out when reauthoring after the reencode (and using Muxman is the best authoring tool for this).

Nor do you need DVDRemake or MenuEdit. Menus can be stilled and extras blanked in VobBlanker. PGCEdit can be used to "clean up" afterwards. Glad to see you're doing it right, and have given up on Shrink.
