I can record from the TV to the HDD (I use SCART).
I can record from the TV to a DVD+RW disk.
But, having search through the manual provided, I cannot find information on how to record a Title, or a Chapter within a Title, to a DVD+RW disk.
The recording source options offered are
* P1
* CVBS 1
* CVBS 2
* S-VID1
* S-VID2
* SCART
* DV
Does this all mean that, in order to record from HDD to DVD disk, I shall have to export the Title/Chapter recorded to my computer and record onto a DVD+RW disk from there?
Or have I missed or mis-understood something?
Thanking you in advance for your help and advice...
TH

You are missing something in the manual. This model supports burning DVD from the HD (as do all of the HDD units that I have used). The latest firmware for this unit also allows editing on the HDD before burning.

Thanx for your reply.
Yes, I have found and used the editing on the HDD - marking new chapters at each end of what I want to keep and deleting the rest, then changing the title name.
However, the options listed in the manual for the recording _source_, as I listed above, are all for sources outside the DVR, but none mentionthe internal HDD.
I'm still at a loss

Aside from telling you that it does do what I want...there isn't much more I can do to help. I don't have that unit and I can't track down a user manual. Keep poking around, it's there somewhere. It could also be that you are looking in the wrong place, possilbly the option for burning from the HDD isn't in the menu you are referring.
There is always customer support...either by phone, email, or forum.Google is your Friend -
Hi Krispy Kritter
Sheesh - I'm being a bit overloaded and so not getting to report back.
After much rereading of the manual and twisting my head around, I have managed to find the way to record from the hard disk to a dvd disk.
It is all most counter-intuitive, and the facility appears to have been shoved in as an after-thought.
1 The manufacturers are calling such an operation 'copying' rather than 'recording'.
2 The operation is hidden in the 'Title' menu, rather than in 'Edit',
3 Hit the 'Title' button. Then ....
a) press the left arrow! This allows you to jump to a greyed out menu/list on the left.
There, you step down to 'Multi-copying'. (Why Multi- ? It just fazes me!)
b) After pressing Enter when on Multi-copying, you are switched back to the right-hand Title list. There you highlight the Title or Titles to be copied and hit Enter on each.
c) Press the left arrow again to return to the menu/list.
d) Move to Copy and hit Enter. The copying starts (if the DVR hasn't become offended with the disk and declared it 'BAD DISK'. If that happens, eject it and reput it in. The DVR will then (probably) accept it.
As you can see this is anything but simple and the Instuction book only mentions, in passing when describing disk info facilities, that there is a left column (and later mentioning a right one).
Anyway, thank you for your advice and support. I'm adding notes at the back of the instruction manual to clarify the actions requested.

Glad you were able to figure it out, and that you were thoughtful enough to post your results here for anyone else that has issues.
