    Hi,

I need a software to make PHOTO VCD which is playable on VCD PLAYERS.

What is the best program for this?
Is there a way to keep the same picture quality on photo VCD?

Programs offer mpeg 1 resolution for photo vcd which decreases the picture quality.
Digital pictures have size 1280 x 1024. Isn't it possible to keep the aspect ratio?
Is there a way to keep the same picture quality? Or is it possible to make a photo CD which is playable on VCD players without converting them to video? There are programs for PC but I need one for VCD players.

    Thank you

  2. Aspect ratio, yes. Picture quality, no.

720x480 is the max limit for VCD, SVCD, and DVD slideshows. For VCD and SVCD this demands NO TRANSITIONS, still pictures only. Use transitions and you downgrade to native format resolution.

Some progs are good at changing aspect ratio, some this must be done manually. Some have good arrangement features, this becomes very important with a large number of slides.

Ulead DVD picture show, TSCV are opposite ends of the spectrum but may do the job.
