Convertxtodvd makes a dvd with switchable subtitles so you must turn it on manually with your remote control.

Are you playing DVD after ConvertXtoDVD has produced a normal DVD ie VIDEO_TS folder derived from your MKV file with embedded subs?
Check the DVD on your computer with VLC and turn on the subs if necessary - can you see them? If VLC shows them then the problem is with your DVD player. Maybe you need to turn them on via your DVD remote?
Or are you playing a MKV file copied to a data disk and the DVD player is not playing the subs? Once again this is the DVD player problem.
Are you sure ConvertXtoDVD picked up the subs - it will say so in the log and on the main screen ie subs (1)SONY 75" Full array 200Hz LED TV, Yamaha A1070 amp, Zidoo UHD3000, BeyonWiz PVR V2 (Enigma2 clone), Chromecast, Windows 11 Professional, QNAP NAS TS851 -
FYI, I have tried in 2 different DVD Players and I have turn it on via remote control. ( Still same).
And also it's not showing on VLC media player. Let me figure it out.
Give me some time. I will try and let you know the result. -
The majority of DVD players have the subs default off - in the setup menu of most DVD players you can turn them on as default. If none of your players can do this all you have to do is to remember to turn them on using your remote. Same with VLC you need to go to the menu item
Video and then scroll down to the second item Subtitles. If there are subs on the file it will have a menu that says Open file, Disable, English 1 etc etc
Do you want to permanently burn in the subs so that they are part of the image?SONY 75" Full array 200Hz LED TV, Yamaha A1070 amp, Zidoo UHD3000, BeyonWiz PVR V2 (Enigma2 clone), Chromecast, Windows 11 Professional, QNAP NAS TS851 -
Well, I will try in this week and will let you know the outcome.
Anyway, thank you very much guys for your quick response. -
Are you turning on Subs in VLC?
Are you turning on subs on your DVD player?
ConvertToDVD will not "burn them in" so that they form part of the image - you have to turn them on in the player whether it is a standalone DVD player or a software player like VLC.SONY 75" Full array 200Hz LED TV, Yamaha A1070 amp, Zidoo UHD3000, BeyonWiz PVR V2 (Enigma2 clone), Chromecast, Windows 11 Professional, QNAP NAS TS851 -
Well the image you posted indicates they are there - could you post a mediainfo report using VTS_01_02 from the DVD files you made using ConvertXtoDVD - I have deliberately selected the second file in the collection to make sure the subs are there. The report using text mode (copy and paste into post) should look like this. My original file didn't contain subs and had to do a search and I found a SRT.
If there are subs on your authored DVD then the word TEXT and details should show up at the bottom like this example.

Just you have to put in the MKV and srt file in same folder and literally have to wait 1 or 2 second for sub to display in VLC media player.
Manually choose in VLC media player ...Video > Subtitles Track > Track 1
