How-to question-Text like music videos with fade in/out

I've been searching high and low and I know this answer has to be out there. Hopefully I'm just missing it. I use Sony Vegas primarily, but also use a few other programs as well. Does anyone have a tutorial or a how-to for a technique to add text to music videos? I'm making a compilation of live songs and want to add the text fade in/out like real music videos. Thank you in advance for any and all help. This forum is definitely the most extensive as far as experience.

Vegas has insert --> text media and put it on a different track from the video. You can fade it in and out by adjusting the opacity on the top left n right corners of the text event. Play around with the placement, proprties, effects, etc for the desired look that you want.
