edit mp4 from Sanyo camera?

I have a Sanyo camera that saves in MP4 format. I need a program that can edit the files. I just need basic cut and paste, not any special effects. I have tried a couple (TMPGenc with quicktime addon and MPEG Streamclip) and the results are in black and white for some reason. Any suggestions, preferablely freeware. thanks

Check out http://mp4cam2avi.sourceforge.net/ This app will convert your Cam Vids to AVI format which is a better editing format and will allow you to use VirtualDub or AviDemux for simple editing etc.

this is just a p.s. I figured out the B&W problem.... I'll check out the AVI converter, would still like a simple cut & paste without re-encoding program

MpegStreamClip shouldn't re-encode your Mp4

Just for the record MP4Cam2AVI doesn't re-encode the video either it trancodes the Audio to .mp3 a leaves the video alone and puts it in an AVI Container, MPEG Streamclip is also a good prog, it's a little clunky for editing though. AviDemux also may be able to take your clips as-is.
