how do i rip out the 2nd audio channel? virtual dub does not let me select it![]()

Use VirtualDubMod instead. Select Streams > Stream List, disable the audio stream you don't want, and save the AVI again (using a different filename, and making sure that video is set to 'Direct Stream Copy'.)
