    This will probably stump everyone!

I have a small pencam video recorder (eDVR 5-in 1 by ST Labs), which has also been sold under several other brand names (including Verbatim). This mini-cam records video using MJPG compression, but stores the file in an STLabs proprietary file format which uses an .STJ file extension. The camera came with a file conversion utility called eDVR_Create.exe which converts the .STJ file to .AVI format so it can be imported and edited. I also have a similar conversion utility call AVI_Create.exe downloaded directly from STLabs web site.

The issue is neither of these conversion utilities now work properly on a Windows Vista PC (surprise, surprise!). They will both load the .STJ file and appear to run properly to convert the file, but they both then crash with a "Failed to Create .AVI" error message when the file would normally be written to disk. I'm guessing Vista is missing a key .DLL library file.

Does anyone know of any other file converter that will import these .STJ files? Or, if a fix or workaround is known that will allow the conversion software I have to run to completion, that would be equally great!

    Anyone?
