  1. I used TMPGenc to encode avi. files to MPEG-1, size 352x240, aspect ratio 4:3 525 line (NTSC), frame rate 29.97, Bit rate 1150, quality High. There is no problem with encoding. But when I try to burn the VCD with Easy CD creator 5 Platium version, I get the messsage " The mpg file will not work in a VCD player". Could anyone tell me what I am doing wrong. Thanks.

  3. In TMPGenc, check and see if your System Stream type is set to MPEG-1 Video CD.

  4. That happens to me also. Files that work fine with nero usually aren't fine with easy cd creator. If i were you i would just use nero. You can get free trials. You could go ahead and burn the cd with easy cd creator and see if it works on your dvd player with the error messages. Your file may not be a true mpeg file and that is why it is giving you an error but it could be a xsvcd or a xvcd which will work if your standalone plays these file types.

  5. I've got the same problem-did they play ok in your dvd player, by just burning them anyway?

  6. Hmm. If I use TMPGenc beta 12 VCD template to create VCD files.
They normally work file with both CD creator and Nero.
Make CD creater show you which part of the VCD file it don't like.
Look and check on the diagnostics option in VCD creator.

I blame CD CREATOR, and I'll tell you why.

I've made SEVERAL non-compliant VCD's using NERO. I've made ONE compliant VCD in EASY CD CREATOR 4.

On my non-standards, I experience a TEMPORARY slowdown of video, ONLY after running it at 4x FF speed (Apex 500W). Play it a few seconds, and it synchs back.

On my standard one, however, just play through normally, and all of the sudden, video slows down further and further, and any fix you can find is temporary, it just keeps doing it over and over.

Since all are encoded in TMPGEnc, maybe the problem is with that. But since all my NERO movies (burned as compliant VCD, by the way) work, this leaves one rotten apple left in the barrel...

    EASY CD CREATOR.

    I agree, use NERO instead.

  8. Thanks all for the replies. I found out the problem. I didn't set System Stream type is set to MPEG-1 Video CD. Once that changed, it worked. Again, thanks to all of your guys.
