  1. Hi, I've been using nero on my pc for a while to burn dvds.. Its a breeze.. However I recently got myself a new MAC OS X 10.4 box with a nice burner...

I have a folder VIDEO_TS which I used just drag on to nero and it burnt the disk for me...
What software should I have on my mac to auther a dvd from just this folder and its contents?

    Thanks.
    B.

Take a look at Toast or maybe iDVD. Other Mac tools: https://www.videohelp.com/tools/sections/macos-video-tools

And for Mac specific questions, you would be better posting in the Mac Forum. Moving you.

Burnz (http://www.thinkertons.com/) also works great. RTFM first. The app works great and is cheap. It also lets you assign the disc icon (and uses Google to help find the pictures you want as icons!).

Firestarter FX has a defect. The latest current version will not work unless you set the system clock back. I don't know if it's someones idea of being funny or not. The current expire date is 6/1/2007

    LiquidCD at http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/28483

And this one is free and simply works.

Make sure not to drag and drop the VIDEO_TS onto TOAST,
as it will open the folder and entitle your burn "VIDEO_TS"...
Instead drag and drop both VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS files simultaneously, and TOAST will make a compliant DVD called "MY DISC"

DVD Imager and Disk Utility work good too (for free).
