  1. I installed TV WONDER VE installation CD and video capture card with video/audio in. The taskbar list TV,VCD, CD, PLAYER, TV LISTING, LIBRARY. I was wondering how I can import analog video from my Sony 8mm camcorder. I connect it to the video capture card and nothing happens. The TV button only has record from Tv tuner. How do I access the Video Capture option? There is nothing in the user guide, except it says if you have no Tv Tuner then the button should read VIDEO IN, but I don't have cable hooked up to my computer and I still only get the TV button, not the VIDEO IN button. I am in the process of shooting a no budget video doc and any info would be appreciated. Thanks. Thomas

Inside the capture software, (MMC) there should be a round icon button
that sort of looks like a Coax Cable end tip. That's the button to press
for TV tuner or Video In.

Mind you, I am dating this procedure off an older version of MMC v7.1
or so. But, the option should still be there, somewhere. The button
or icon may have changed, so you'll prob have to trial n error, it.

I have this card, too. But, I don't use it these days. Actually, I have
many capture cards, but I'm mostly exploring/experimenting or testing
them. So, there's never time to actually *keep* one single card. But,
I'm leaning toward keeping my Winfast TV2000 XP Expert card in my new'er
computer setup -- a home built unit.

    Anyway. Good luck.

Sony should be via usb streaming .

What you need to do is setup the camera as though you want to record its play back to a vcr tape , or displayed on a tv screen .

Then set your capture program to VTR mode only .

Pass the audio to sound card for recording, or the picture quality will be degraded .

Start playback on camera , and hit the record button in the program on the pc ... and your on your way .

    ====

Winfast TV2000 XP Expert card ... had one , wouldnt want another one ... quality compared to other devices is not good enough ... and is only maginally better in video quality , than the fly 3000 unit .

I'm glad I changed to avermedia products ... superb recordings .

And forget the inbuilt tuners on these devices ... there inferior

Best get hold of a vcr , leave capture program in vtr mode , and use the remote for the vcr when you want to change channels for recording .

    Morning guys.

    fwiw ...

    @ Bjs, I don't know anything about the fly 3000 ( or is it, flywheel 3000 )
capture card, but i'm sure there is wheight to what (CONS) you said about the Winfast
    card.

But, my mentioning of it was based on the use of it with laserdisc capture projects via
composite connection -- the detail of the image is (IMHO) pheonimal when compared to
all the other cards I've tested and used for this source medium type, laserdisc.

But, using it (and its built-in tv tuner) for tv capturing may be another side of the coin,
in terms of pros and cons.
