  1. I have some AVI files I need to stream for a demo coming up. They need to go out as unicast & the AVI files are MJPEG. Multicast will not work because they need to stay MJPEG so the system receiving the stream can decode properly (MPEG is not supported). I want it to play over and over and over until I stop the stream manually.

I am in search of Linux utilities to be able to do this. Any suggestions??

    Hi,
What is the bitrate of these files? MJPEG is usually pretty high bitrate to get any quality which will give you headaches to stream them. VLC is supposed to be able to stream in most cases people use it to transcode on the fly, (K)MPlayer will also stream but i have no personal experience with how to do it. I think bandwidth will be your biggest hurdle to overcome.
