  1. After converting a widescreen PAL feature (and resizing it for 16:9) and a 4:3 short film to NTSC, I added the titles and menus to DVDAuthorGUI. The m2v's were properly encoded (I checked before adding them) but when the DVD is authored, the 4:3 feature is stretched to 16:9. I thought I'd made a mistake in the encoding so I redid that short and reauthored the titles again and the 4:3 film was still stretched to 16:9.

Does anyone know how to get around this? The only thing I noticed is that the authored file combines both titles into VTS_01_# vobs instead of VTS_01_# for the first title and VTS_02_# for the second title.

All titles in a titleset must be of the same properties (AR/ resolution, etc). DVDAuthorGUI by design, only works within a single titleset. You could go into the XML and make it multiple titlesets, but that will involve a great deal of work.

You might look into some of the other GUIs available for dvdauthor, such as GFD, and dvdstyler. Both fully support multiple titlesets.

  3. From the screenshot, DVDStyler looks kind of limited in terms of menu creation. My main menu page that I created was a motion menu (added text to a video image in Movie Maker and exported it as an AVI, then turned it into an m2v with HCenc and created buttons for the text with the menu editor in DVDAuthorGUI). Does DVDStyler take m2v video as a menu input?

I honestly could not say. I have never tried either of them very much. Perhaps someone else could answer that question.

    Author from dvdauthorgui :

Title1 includes menu and a single title , link all menu buttons related to titles to title 1 and output to folder1

From here , you author each title seperately with no menu to a new folder , going up by number , till all completed .

    Grab pgcedit .

    Then

Go to guides section in forum.
    Go to search
    Search for guides by bjs

You'll find what you to put it together using pgcedit , and if you need nav help , just pm .
