Doesn't there is a connection for sound (looks the same as for CD-Rom's) at the capBoard?
With me it is. I have to connect that one internally to the sound card, then it works.
The Audio-Out connector doesn't work for capture. It's only usable for VideoOUT (like when playing dvd's or such stuff), but with me it haven't actualy worked ever.
Best is to connect the videoIN's audio directly to the LineIn of the sound card. Don't forget to set the Recording settings of you Sound (of windows internally) to accept audio from the LineIN, so audio is actually recorded. -
You need a little loop back cable that has a stereo jack (one that earphones and your soundcard has) at each end. Just putone end into your audio out on your capture card, and put the other end into "line in" or "mic" or what ever its called on your soundcard. You will have to play with settings a bit to get it to work.. I just fixed my mates happague/sblive! combo.. took me a few mins to setup the soundcard line in settings.. you will hear it, but it wont record unless you set it correctly. In virtualdub, if you go to "audio" menu, and select "volume meter" i think its called from memory, you have 2 bars, blue/red that bounce to sound.. if you hear somethin but DONT see those bars pulsing to the sounds, its not set.. when we got it set correctly, we heard NOTHING thru the speakers, but the bars were moving.. so we recorded like 1 min and then played it back, sure enough it was fine.. so just make sure you see the bars moving while you are playing with settings.. hope this helps somewhat.
Damn TLA's, they confuse everyone.
