I want to take the audio off several of my DVD's and put them on CD in MP3 format.

What programs should I use? And how would I go about doing it?

  2. Use DGMPGDec or DVD2AVI(version 17.6) to extract the sound track to wave, then use CDex to encode the wave file to mp3. These two tools can be found in the tool section on this site.

You also can play the DVD back on a portable DVD player.

If you want one easy step, that will even split by track/chapter points, image with cue sheet, ect. DVD Audio Extractor can not be beat for the $$

  4. DVD2avi version 18.6 has the option to decode DVD to MP3 for free. But it crashes on Lame_enc.dll.

Or you can rip with dvd decrypter (assuming its an older title) and set to rip by chapters. Then take the ac3's and use besweet to convert to mp3. Both are free though besweet does take some learning. (actually I think besweet can read vobs directly and you might not have to extract the ac3s - but decrypter also has the option to rip ac3s only as well)

If its a newer disc you'll probably need ripit4me or dvdfabdecrypter to get around newer protection schemes.
