First, download this software called "SUPER ©".
As of June 23, 2007, the current version is: v2007.build22 (March 14, 2007).

Download the software and install it on your PC.
SUPER© is compatible with most Windows® platforms.

    After rebooting, open SUPER©.

1 - Select the Output Container: avi
2 - Select the Output Video Codec: H.263
3 - Select the Output Audio Codec: mp3

    4 - Video settings

    * Video Scale Size, select: 352:288
    * Aspect, select one from the following: 1:1, 4:3, 11:9 or 16:9 (all will work, if this is your first time, just select 4:3).
    * Frame/Sec, select the following: 14.985
    * Bitrate kbps, you can select 576.

    5 - Audio settings

    * Bitrate kbps, you can select 96, 112 or 128.

6 - Output File Saving Management

    * Right click on SUPER© to bring up the Menu and click on 'Output File Saving Management'.
    * Select the folder where you want the video to be saved at.
    * Then click 'Save Changes'.

7 - Drop a valid multimedia file in the box and you should see a green check mark.
8 - Then click on 'Encode' (Active Files).

Wait.. and wait.. Viola!~ It's that simple!~ Even a caveman can do it.

Lastly, transfer the video (or movie) to your device!~ And ROCK ON!~

I've done this for my Pearl and I know it works. I'm going to assume this will work on the newer devices too. If you do try this out on your device, please come back to this thread and let us know which model it worked for. This will certainly help those who are wondering if this will work on their device.

    Tested on:
    Blackberry 8100 Pearl

  3. well, after 48 hours of searching and testing various programs and settings, there are the only ones that worked for me and my shiny new BlackBerry 8830 world edition on the Bell high speed mobile network (1xEVDO):

    GET SUPER! then use these:

Settings that work reliably for me, no stuttering:

    1. MP4

    2. DIVX

    3. AAC

    Use Directshow NOT checked

    Video 320X240,

    Aspect 4:3

    Frames/Sec 15

    Bitrate: 528

    Options: H Quality

    Audio: 44100

    Channels: 2

    Bitrate: 64

    DVD language: Default

I tried these exact settings on my new 8830 and it just sat there loading for over 10 minutes. I finally just shut it down. The file was 30mb but I don't think it should have taken that long. Still looking for valid settings to get my video to work on the 8830. Any other help is appreciated.

are you sure you used the exact settings i described? I'm Bell (Canadian CDMA carrier) and it works for me... although i do get a few videos that crash during playback... perhaps try another small video file as a test...

here's a short clip that works on mine which was created with Super... does it work for you?

Thanks. It now works. I'm not sure I had the 48K Audio unchecked but my 8830 finally got to a state that it wouldn't even play the original "Blackberry" video that comes with the phone. I shut the phone off and back on, no luck. So I shut it down, took the battery out and Waalaa the media player somehow reset it self and everything is now working. Thanks for all the help
