    Hi all I'm using sony vegas 7.0 and about half way though editing i clicked on the preview screen and it immediately stopped showing video preview but still has sound. It shows video in the trimmer preview just not the actual presentation. I've tried everything and it just stays black with audio running.

    Weird, isn't it? Did you try this?> Menu Bar> View> Check Video Preview or Alt+4... Don't forget that the current version is 7.e and that Sony Vegas is not freeware.
