    Hi,

I purchased this program way back when it first came out. I've still got the original .msi file used to install the program and the associated .xml file provided via the website etc. I successfully installed it on WinXP Pro sp2 a year or two ago, but have since reformated my computer and now wish to install it again.

I've downloaded the required 1.21 .net framework, installed it and set about installing svcd2dvd and received the following errors:

    During installation:

And after installation upon starting the program:

Can anyone please advise me where I'm going wrong?

    Thank you!

Chances are that you haven't got the VB runtime installed...

Can you search your PC for a file called: MSVBVM60.DLL

If you don't have it then you are missing the visual basic runtime… you can get it from here:

    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=7B9BA261-7A9C-43E7-9117-F6730...displaylang=en

    install that then reinstall S2D.

    Hi ChrissyBoy,

Unfortunately, it doesn't look like that's my problem:

I've got that file, infact I've got two of them.

Ok. In that case can you try updating to the latest version of SVCD2DVD and see if you still get the issue?

I considered that option, but have been reluctant to to that as the new version looks a little more complicated that for what I require of it. I shall try it though and report back.

Whilst you're here. I read upon the webpage that it supports 'selectable subs' does this mean it supports .idx\.sub files, or just .srt?

So am I correct in assuming (based upon the page you referenced) that the program ony supports .srt to .sup but doesn't support the .idx\.sub format which as you probably know are in effect little images I'm advised.

    Hmpffft

It was going well, right upto the 'just click the button if all the data is there' as I didn't need to add anything to boxes 1,2,3.
