    1. Hook the VHS deck to your DVD player.
    2. Press play on your DVD player.
    3. Hit record on your VHS deck.

If you're trying to copy commercial movies it gets a little more complicated and would actually be quite time consuming unless you want to spend a few bucks on either a TBC or "stabilizer". Really not worth the effort or money.

  3. If you do want to copy commercial moves, you simply use dvd decrypter to create the decrpyted files on your PC then burn those files to a dvd and use that as your source for copy to vhs.

The reason you wish to do this would be interesting, can she not use a dvd player or have an elderly relative who cannot- You?

    Welcome homantam

Your specs for pc are not complete , so the question is do you have tv out available from the pc ?

If so , then details are :

1x conversion cable (2x rca to 1x stereo headphone jack)
1x rca extension cable (triple ended) , length as required (pc to vhs recorder)

Tv out from pc to video in on vcr
Sound out from pc to left / right audio in on vcr

Tv on , showing vhs recorder , tv channel playing
Switch vcr to av channel used (av inputs should be numbered)
    Power up pc

Some playback programs allow just the playing application to display in full screen on detected tv , without affecting work space on pc screen .

As soon as it fires up on tv screen , hit the record button on the vhs recorder , and enjoy .

Its how I keep them busy here , and record game action for later use .

Although your other half really dose have a strange request when everybody else is going from vhs to dvd ...

If you can find an old version of Philips DVP-642, you can copy to VHS 'almost' everything that is playing in it. Straight from the DVD player to VHS recorder.

  6. Check eBay for a modified (hacked) Lite-On DVD recorder

    LVW-5001
    LVW-5005
    LVW-5006
    LVW-5007

The listings may say something like "special", "region-free", "records anything", etc. These modified recorders will play back your store-bought DVD's without sending out a copy protection signal to your VCR.

You sure the wife is not just playing an elaborate joke?

    Otherwise... what the hell?
