  1. I've captured a streaming concert with WMVRecorder. It plays fine with wmp and other players. I want to author a dvd, but when I open it in Vegas and several other authoring softwares, there is nothing, no frames, no audio wavelengths - and a blank editing screen....

Am I missing something (probably something stupid)?

    Thanks,
    Chris from Chicago

You could try convert the wmv to dv-avi with Windows Movie Maker or directly to dvd mpeg with Tmpgenc Xpress.

Or if you don't advanced menus, editing try ConvertXtoDVD, it handles wmv very good.

You're only missing the fact that WMV is a real PITA to do anything useful with, besides watch on the computer.
Try loading it in WMM, then export as DV AVI, which is much easier to deal with for other apps.
