    I've look at SO many players and none seem to do this. I have lots of videos that I like to play randomly but would love for them to start at random times in the time line. does anyone know of one or a plugin for a player that does this?

    Have you tried WinAmp? It uses play lists and used to have a random function.

    Yeah but most players have a straight up random play feature. I'm looking for one that will also start from a random point in the timeline

    So you want a player that will start at random points in the file? You won't find any that do that. I don't even see a need for it. Why would you want to start playing a video from the middle?

    Or is this another one of those "what I really want" questions?
