Does anyone know a program that will allow me to add an annotation (author, comment, copyright) to a video without doing it in Quicktime? Seems Quicktime is the only video program to do this.
Secondly, anyone know if there is a program for mac to add text or a logo to video as well?

Besides Quicktime Pro, there is FCE and FCP.
You can do both of what your asking, meta tagging
a file ( author, comment, etc) and placing logos or text
into the video. iMovie will even allow you to add text to
the video in the timeline.
If all your REALLY worried about is the meta-data, you
can add this info in ANY cataloging app such as Fetch or
Metadata Hootenanny."Everyone has to learn, so that they can one day teach."
