I have purchased a Sony hard drive video camcorder and wish to add the time / date stamp to my videos when I transfer to DVD. So far, the only way that I have found to do this is by hooking my camcorder up to my set top DVD recorder via A/V cables, tell the camcorder to display date, and send the video to DVD by playing it with camcorder. To me, this defeats the whole purpose of buying a hard drive video camcorder if I have to use analog cables to play the movie while recording it to my DVD recorder. Is there a way to import the files to my PC and then use some sort of software program to overlay the time and date stamp? It would also be nice if this software would pull the information from the digital file instead of making the user type it in, but at this point either way will be better than the current way.
Thank for your help!
