Hi.
Adobe DVD Encore 2.0 question ...
I setup a DVD project, which I use as template for future projects. After DVD_1 is finished, I say "Save as ..." to DVD_2. I delete the DVD_1 clips, add DVD_2 clips and modify the menus. After DVD_2 project is finished, I say "Save as ..." DVD_3, and so on ... Arriving at DVD_5, I noticed that the file ProjectPrefs2.xml kept all clips from previous DVD projects. Besides that, the DVD_x.ncor files also grow in size.
Worse ... when opening DVD_5 project, DVD Encore started to rebuild the Cache, including all clips of previous projects.
How can I tell DVD Encore to disregard all previous clips contained before DVD_5?
(was this understandable?)
Thanks,

Hmmm ... did really nobody notice that the PrejectPrefs2.xml as well as the *.ncor files keep on growing when projects are copied?

... or was the question unclear (shall I rephrase)?

 Thanks,

What do you mean by "template for future projects."

What exactly do you want to re-use from previous project??

I meant that I create a project from the scratch (timelines, menus, backgrounds, ....) and save it as DVD_1. However I have to create 9 more projects which are identical, except for the clips (just the movies are exchanged).

Hence, with DVD_1 loaded, I say "Save As..." DVD_2. I call DVD_1 "template" since I use it to create all the other DVDs.

When I do this, I notice that ProjectPrefs2.xml keeps the clips from DVD_1 stored, despite the fact that I deleted them in DVD_2 in order to make space for the DVD_2 clips to be used.

 Did this clarify the situation?

Usually if I want to re-use Menus I just export them as .psd file & than import them into a new project. Of course I need to do all the linking again but it doesn't take long (unless you're creating very complex projects).

 So, sorry have no idea
