    Getting the following error. Source files were produced by VOB2MPG 2.3 from a PAL DVD. My intention was to produce a NTSC DVD disk. Failed twice with SVCD2DVD with same error. I believe the error occurred at roughly the same place in the process. No problem when I use ConvertXtoDVD with the same source files.

    PAL->NTSC: demuxing VTS_01_S2D.mpg

    And that's where it stops with the popup error listed at the beginning.

    Just as an aside question - Is there an easier way to produce a NTSC version of a PAL disk using SVCD2DVD directly without using VOB2MPG? Maybe I'm missing the obvious but it doesn't appear that SVCD2DVD can do it.

    Well it looks strange.. is there anyway you can get VTS_01.mpg to me for testing? Or if i give you an FTP can you upload it? If not i have a new version (which could be available next week) which would more than likely resolve this (it wouldn't need to do that demuxing step)....

    Currently SVCD2DVD just processes assets (as you know) and so doesn't analyse DVD structure etc.. So you need to provide the asset - and thats where Vob2mpg comes in. I have another tool which does analysis DVDs and produces mpegs based on PGC/Chapters/Titles etc. I may combine that tech into SVCD2DVD or create a new pal to ntsc tool soley to address the issue.

  6. Is there any other error message?
    Remember that HDTV2DVD hasn't seen development in quite a while as SVCD2DVD has been updated to handle the conversions.

    two identical error messages pop up and then i "x" them both out and then the program just sits there at 0% progress. does SVCD2DVD convert HD content to DVD? all i want is to convert the .mkv files i download into a mint quality DVD so i can watch it on my home DVD player. i have successfully taken the .mkv files and converted to Blu-Ray format and burned the Blu-Ray files to DVD-9 DL disc, but i want to get good quality DVD movies from the .mkv files. otherwise i am just going to continue converting to Blu-ray and wait til i get a BD player.

    Hi Chrissy

    Firstly thanks for creating such a good bit of kit.
    I too seem to be getting this message in the middle of burning a DVD (see below).

    Your guidance would be much appreciated
