Windows Movie Maker 6 - Problems with playing timeline

hello everybody!

Im in the middle of editing my home videos from a DV camcorder. I use a firewire to import my videos and i import them as DV-AVI files.

Now i have about 10mins worth of footage that i have trimmed and edited and all of a sudden the timeline will not play of wmm so i can't see where to edit etc?

has anyone had any similar problems? Ifso what did you do to resolve it?

Im using windows vista and winows movie maker version 6.0 (build 6000)

if your desperate it does auto-save so just restart
or there are many other programs to consider see

there are so many people with the same problem that microsoft are bound to make a patch or a free higher version soon.

Hey im having trouble i have a .wmv in windows movie maker it was working and it works if you view it in the imported videos section but if i put it into the timeline it won't play. Please help I am so stuck!
