  1. I am lookin at investing in a faster CDR/RW burner. Could anyone tell whether i should go with SCSI or IDE. I currently have a SCSI burner but am wondering what the differences between the two are, and whether i really need to fork out the extra $$$ for a SCSI or if IDE will suffice.

    Thanx

  2. I don't believe it's worth for a home user to spend money on a SCSI, it is more for Work Environment with lots of disk load, IDE drives are nearly as fast, and CD/DVD drives are exactly as fast for the regular work, only if you are on a network and you plan on having multiple access, then consider SCSI

  3. Thanx Sefy. What do you think is the current best brand burner to buy? I was only wondering about SCSI drives cause i do a lot of burning on the fly and have been told that SCSI is more reliable seeing as it doesnt rely on CPU power. I am looking for a moderately priced 24x writer. Any suggestions?

    Thanx

  4. Well, if you want a great and cheap, then go get a Lite-On 24x10x40, they cost around 70$, and officialy support upto 99min CDR media

If you want "old reliable" you can get the more expensive Plextor 24x10x40, they can cost over a 100$, and only support (and not officialy) a bit over 90min CDR media.
