I would like to know how i can customize menu navigation. For instance, I would like that once the dvd loads a menu that has a picture, a class photo, and 2 menus "Return to Main Menu" & "Next"; the viewer can press the ok or enter button and access the photo. This would merely add more buttons to the menu. Through accessing the photo, whenever the viewer presses either arrow a circle highlights the person.

First of all can this be done or something like it? How?

Am I correct in thinking that what you want is a menu with a class photo as the background, and clicking on the face of a particular person in that photo displays either another photo or video clip of that person?

If you are happy with just circles, then create a circle around each person in your authoring app (if it supports this type of menu layout) and set the normal state of the button to invisible. This way the circle will only highlight when it has focus. Turn this into a button.

If you have different menu options for each person, you will then have to replicate this menu for every person, adding the extra buttons to each copy. Then link it all together.

Bear in mind that there is a limit of 32 (or 36 - can't remember which) buttons per menu page in 4:3, and less in 16:9, so if you have a big group you may not be able to do them all in one page.
