  1. I have followed this guide to the letter:

making a smaller file when the VOB files are on the hard drive and bigger than 4.5 Gigs

I now have a .wav file and a .m2v file. The guide said use DVDit to convert the m2v and wav files back to VOB's . I don't have DVDit. Is there a different program I can use?

  3. I might be able to see the humor if I had an idea how to solve the problem....the guide says there are numerous programs to use, but only recommends one that is very expensive....

  4. they are all very expencive ... no way around it ( the licence for the dvd specs is expencive .. sort of like the Dolby licences .. so any program that can do it .. paid a ton to know how ) ... uled does offer 30 day trial of the Ulead DVD MovieFactory .... check out http://www.ulead.com/products/products.htm ... dont know if you can get the thing to create an image on the HD ( that will give you vobs ) ....

of course you could use ifoedit and re-mux the m2v file back into the orginal ( a copy ) vob ... dont know if you can mix down the ac3 part ... check out the guide on doom's site ( www.doom9.org ) .. he covers striping everything out of the vobs THEN rempeg the video into a m2v then re-muxing it back into the orginal ... but every time i have tried so far i have been unable to keep any menus.
