    Attention DirectShow experts!

I'm evaluating a Hauppauge HVR-1600 with the new Beta Version 3.4D1e software with QAM cable tuning.

I've been experiencing crashes that seem related to the ATI Catalyst driver and explorer.exe (Windows Explorer).

Now I'm seeing the following DirectShow error. Any ideas what is going on?
    What does this error mean?

I have sometimes a message like this when I use ProgDVB.

It happens when progdvb tries to use an mpeg 2 or 4 codec that exist in my system but other codecs have a higher priority so the system suggest them. That creates a conflict. Usually the codec that the system suggest win the conflict and I have picture in my PC but not in the perfect way.
A reboot fix usually the problem, but sometimes I had to re-install the mpeg codecs my card ask to use.

The last program installed was that WinTV 6. Should I reinstall it?

I think I'll reinstall the ATI Catayst driver then reinstall WinTV.

I can't really suggest something, since I don't have the specific hardware.

I have a SkyStar 2 and a SkyStar HD and I use progDVB (mostly). But I believe some experiments with the drivers might help.

I just remembered a conflict I once had with the Nvidia Pure Video decoder and progdvb. When I installed Pure Video a year ago, when I tried to open ProgDVB, it searched for the Elecard mpeg 2 decoder, while my system forced to use nvidia pure video decoder. Blue Screen of death followed after I tried somethings, then I had to boot to safe mode, unistall all the video codecs I had in my system and re-install them again. Since then, I never had a problem again!

3 weeks ago, I installed ogg vorbis and suddently I didn't have audio on Mediaportal for the DVB channels!. I unistall ogg, reboot, install it again and no problem since then!

In your case, I would try for once wintv without installing the ATI catalyst drivers.

Good point. I'm wondering if NVidia shows the same problems.

I wish Hauppauge had an accessable Beta program. All I know is this thing crashes and I don't know why.
