Hi, I am new to the game of subtitiling films, especially embedding subs in a film. I just can't seem to pull it off and i am pleading with you kind people to possibly provide me with a step by step process on how to imbed subtitles (.srt) into an AVI file. Here are my specs...i am using a windows vista basic system and i am using Divxland media subtitler for the subtitle work. When i attempt to imbed a subtitle it tells me to select the virtualdub folder (which i can't seem to find), and it also says that plugins subtitler vdf is missing. Can someone break all of this down for me very simple Thanks in advance to any and all that can help.

With all that, I would try VirtualDub Mod instead, as that appears to be the type of files you are using. Here's a VDM guide for making embedded subs that is fairly easy to use:

Here's some other similar guides using some different programs and methods: https://www.videohelp.com/guides/category/how-to-add-subtitles-to-a-video-5;20#5;20

You should disable UAC when running any of these programs .

To turn off UAC, go to the control panel and in the search box type "User Account".
