I just finished a project in which I shot 12 High Definition mini Dv tapes. The cameras had to be returned and I did not have time to digitize my footage. I am now looking for a way to get this footage onto my computer. I will be editing in Final Cut Pro on a G5 Mac. I have a non-HD camcorder that will play back mini dvs, but will it transfer in HD? If not what would you recommend to be the cheapest deck/camera to rent for digitizing this footage?
Thanks!
