    i just dl WinAVI to convert my files to DVD, but when after it finished, i can't find the files. why is that? where is it usually?


    also~ i dl nero 7 and i can never install it... but i mean if WinAVI works, i wouldnt need NERO right?


    so... can some one please help me with WinAVI?

    and also, i tried using WinAVI to burn DVD, but it only let me drag a whole folder in, i dun get how that is suppose to work


    i know i sound annoying and stupid... but please help me! this is my first time doing this... i have been wanting to convert these videos to watch on a DVD player for a long time! so pleaaaaaaseeeeeeee help... even if i am a noob?

    steveryan the site is good and all! and it help abit, but i still dun get where y i cant find those other files that i converted

    The files are probably in WinAVIs program folder: Start>My Computer>C: drive (Or whatever you have it named, the boot drive)>Program Files>WinAVI'. If not, they are probably in your 'Documents' folder. You should be able to change where they are stored when you run the program.

    To make a DVD, you need a VIDEO_TS folder. That's what WinAVI should be making. If WinAVI won't burn it, you could use ImgBurn and the 'Build' function.

    If you don't get good results with WinAVI, try ConvertXToDVD or . It has a lot less problems than WinAVI.
    Or Avi2Dvd or DVD Flick or FAVC or The FilmMachine or DIKO. These are all freeware and do a better job than WinAVI, IMO.

    You might take a look at 'WHAT IS' DVD to the upper left on this page. It will tell you about the DVD structure and format, then you may understand a little more about the processes involved. Those programs I listed should also have guides at the bottom of each of their tool pages.
