I am producing a DVD Photo slideshow of a Disney trip. (using PhotoDVD2). I finally located some free Disney song tracks, but needed some longer tracks to match the length of the DVD I will be burning. (Some 350 photos). I bought a 25 song card from Itunes and imported a couple of songs into the Itune database. (.99 cents apiece) But, I can't do anything with them. They are protected AAC and I can't even put them (export) to a CD.

I am new to all this, but I thought I could download(export) these couple songs to a folder and place them into the audio track of my PhotoDVD2 ....? Any ideas...or did I just goof...!

What ver of iTunes? I use jHymn to remove the DRM, but last time I looked, it only works for V4.
The other obvious solution would be to burn an audio CD with 'em, then rip the CD back to your computer. No more DRM.
qtfairuse6 and/or myfairtunes is rumored (=I haven't tried myself) to work with iTunes music purchased with more recent versions of iTunes.

Burn the tracks to an audio CD (check your iTunes prefs > Advanced > Burning to set this), then rip those tracks back to iTunes as AIFF (which is what they will be when you burn the audio disc - check your iTunes prefs > Advanced > Importing to set this). Use the AIFF tracks for your DVD project.

EVERY (as in EVERY SINGLE ONE WITHOUT EXCEPTION) song available on ITunes CAN be burned to an audio CD. You aren't doing something right. ITunes has an option to burn an audio CD of what you have in your ITunes library. Your easiest option would be to burn an audio CD and then rip that and use in your project.

    JaredKnight,
You will need to assemble the tracks you want into a playlist first, do this by clicking the little plus sign in the bottom left hand corner of the iTunes window. name your playlist and then drag and drop the songs onto it. Highlight the playlist and there should be a "burn" button in the bottom right hand corner of the iTunes window Burn your CD and re-import the tracks for your project.
*NOTE* These instructions are for iTunes 7.0+
